Florida Healthy Beaches Program Test Results Had Some Poor Levels Of Bacteria, It Will Only Be Worse After Today’s Rains

This chart is to monitor pollution (specifically bacteria), from the outflow pipes throughout Florida.  Not to measure red tide or algae levels.

It has rained a lot today, so the level of fertilizer, animal feces, and human waste will impact the numbers negatively.  After the last rain, they waited six days, from 7.30 until 8.6 for testing.  Makes one wonder why so long.  Also, the concern that water pollution can be at poor, yet the beach stays open.

Not one beach is closed in Sarasota, which suggest it reached the very bottom level of poor.

After the numbers, there is one of many video’s I have put out on the issue surrounding the outflow pipes.

Beach Water Quality, Program Overview

In 1998, five of Florida’s coastal counties began monitoring for enterococci bacteria under a grant-funded pilot program. By the beginning of 2000, 11 Florida counties were participating in the program, which continued through July 2000. To review the sampling history for those counties who participated in the original program, click here.

In August 2000, the Beach Water Sampling Program was extended to 30 of Florida’s coastal counties through state legislation (Senate Bill 1412 and House Bill 2145) and funding. In addition, sampling under the new program now includes fecal coliform as well as enterococci bacteria. The rationale for selecting these two bacteria for analysis and implications of the sampling results are described below. In August 2002, the beach water sampling program began collecting water samples on a weekly basis with additional funding from U.S. EPA. The most recent results from the current program can be reviewed here.

Anticipated heavy rains will have the outflow tanks flowing strong pumping fertilizer, animal feces, and septic waste into the Gulf

Francesco Abbruzzino – The Uncensored Report Live Stream: I analyze the outflow pipes and breakdown my research into the cause and affect of red tide and fecal matter issues in our waters.

Red Tide is still an issue and concern, as evident with my video of the protest that has been seen over 7k times in less than 24 hours
