North Port continues push to support hospital. Read bellow for how we’ve made it easy for you to send a letter of support too!

North Port, FL. – The City of North Port has been informed that North Port Hospital LLC, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services (UHS), has submitted a Letter of Intent (LOI) to the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and plans to submit an application for a certificate of need (CON). A CON is needed to build a hospital within City limits. The City of North Port is thankful for anyone who is willing to pursue a CON to bring a free standing acute care hospital to our growing City.

North Port Hospital LLC is expected to submit its CON application by September 8th. Other organizations interested in building an acute care hospital may also submit their own LOI during the next 30 days. The CON application will include the scope of the project such as number of beds, available land, funding, etc.

The City is hoping residents and business owners will also outwardly show their support for a hospital in the City. We are requesting residents to let the AHCA know how they feel. You can send a letter of support to:

Ms. Marisol Fitch
Unit Manager
Certificate of Need Planning Unit
Bureau of Health Facility Regulation
Agency for Health Care Administration
2727 Mahan Drive, Building 1
