North Port Parks & Recreation will be hosting a self-defense course designed for all women age 16 and up at 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturdays from July 1 through August 12 at the Morgan Family Community Center, 6207 W. Price Blvd.,

The course will focus on leverage-based techniques, not striking, to overcome some of the most realistic scenarios.  Groundwork will be covered extensively.

The cost for the 7-week session is $80. An introductory class will be held on June 24th for $20. Registration is accepted online https://goo.gl/LqXRL2 or in person at the Morgan Family Community Center or George Mullen Activity Center.
