NPPD:  North Port High School student struck by vehicle

 

Minor incident involving bike rider. Around 7am Monday morning a North Port High School student was struck by a vehicle while traveling through a marked crosswalk. The student sustained minor injuries and was taken to the local emergency room as a precaution. The driver was cited for careless driving. A reminder to folks to be aware, especially when lights are flashing in school zones.
