    Nancy, Commissioners and councilors –

These photos are of the Venice pier today. The water os disgusting. When are our elected leaders going to do something about the nutrient pollution fueling this red tide?

How can you say it’s going to go away?

Will it take the complete collapse of the ecosystem and economy for you to wake up?

Cleaning and upgrading the city and county’s wastewater infrastructure should be priority number one.

What are you going to do?

I’ll be doing some testing of Venice out flow ditches this week. Unlike you, I am not paid to steward our environment.

See you soon at a commissioner and/ or council meeting.

    -Rob Merlino
