Sarasota Police hosting another ‘Tweet from the Beat’ this week



The Sarasota Police Department is taking social media followers on another “virtual ride-along.”  Tomorrow, Thursday, June 14, 2018, beginning at 8 p.m., Twitter users can “ride along” for another ‘Tweet from the Beat’ with Patrol Officers during night shift.


Patrol Sergeant Andrew Combs will share what he says and does whole on patrol through texts, videos, GIFs and various photos.  Partnership Policing Communications Coordinator Genevieve Judge will tweet on behalf of Sergeant Combs.  Followers on Twitter @SarasotaPD will be able to ask questions and interact with the Sarasota Police Department while they are on patrol.


To join the Sarasota Police Department “Tweet from the Beat” virtual ride along:  Twitter users can follow the Sarasota Police Department under the handle @SarasotaPD.  To create a Twitter account, users can visit to and sign up.  It’s easy, quick and free.  Once an account is created, users can follow @SarasotaPD


The Sarasota Police Department began ‘Tweet from the Beat’ in November 2013.
