The issue is, when these septic tanks have issues and leak, that ends up in our Gulf via the outflow pipes.   Dr. Ed Martin has been bloggeing extensively regarding Boone Law not changing over.  I am not sure if that has changed, perhaps the doctor will chime in on this post.

Ed, our former attorney and Utilities Director found about 60 sites not connected to our public sewer system. As you know I led that project and had the list down to 1 or 2 sites refusing to connect. I thought the attorney that took over filed in court and resolved these two sites.

Please check and see if we closed out those cases?

In addition council asked if the city knows for sure that all properties are connected to water are connected to sewer? It was indicated by the former Utilities Director that they did not know.

Council asked for the utilities department bills be run to find out who is not paying for city sewer. It was agreed that process would provide  a list to investigate.

What is the status of this list that was requested?

Sincerely,

Vice Mayor, Bob Daniels
