Hi if you could post this without a name that would be great! We live in Grand Palm the so called retirement community.
There is a bacterial infection going around our community and we believe it is from our main pool. Currently we are treating our child for it. They were diagnosed by a doctor and the cause was a dirty pool most likely not treated. My child has only swam in the Grand Palm community pool.
So I am contacting you to get the word out to the community. By standards this pool should be treated daily but I do not believe it has been. They are not draining the pool to protect the residents. This is a serious problem for the health of our community.
I feel that they have given me the run around from the man in charge claiming it’s not from their pool. It’s awful my daughter is on 10 days of antibiotic and cream can’t go in the sun and now will always be prone to catching this in the future.
This has been going on since last Tuesday. He admitted that the pool will be getting treated more often. I’ve contacted the health department. They had the pool company come out and dump a bunch of chlorine in the pool then test it.
I wanted to contact you, to get the word out, so that other children do not get sick and they avoid the pool until action is taken.
