Sarasota: State Housing Initiatives Partnership Program Local Affordable Housing Incentive Strategy
The Sarasota County SHIP Program Affordable Housing Advisory Committee and the City of Sarasota Affordable Housing Advisory Committee will be conducting a joint public meeting to discuss the adoption of the Local Affordable Housing Incentive Strategy.
The public meeting will be held:

The Local Affordable Housing Incentive Strategy will include recommendations for the Sarasota County and City of Sarasota Commissions related to affordable housing.
The topics of the plan are: Expedited reviews; Impact fee modifications; Flexibility in density; Infrastructure reservation; Accessory dwelling units; Parking and setback reductions; Flexible lot configurations; Street requirement modifications; Consideration on increased costs of housing; Locally owned public lands suitable for affordable housing; Development near transportation hubs, major employment centers and mixed-use development; and other recommendations.
