Scheduled Water Interruption for Biscayne Gardens today
On Wednesday, February 6th, Utilities crews will be replacing water valves in the Biscayne Gardens area of the water distribution system. The water in this area will need to be shut down for this necessary work beginning at 9:00 am and ending by 3:00 pm. City water customers on the streets listed below will be placed on a precautionary boil once the work is completed and water service is restored to the area:
- Pickwick Rd.
- Portion of Eager St.
- Portion of S. Biscayne Dr.
- Fay Ave.
- Agress Ave.
- Dorothy Ave.
- Herbison Ave.
- Sutherlin St.
- La Copa St.
- Bullard St.
- Portion of Grobe St.
After water service is resumed, a boil water advisory will be in effect as a precaution. Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for consumption (for example, drinking and cooking water, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes) should be brought to a rolling boil for one minute. As an alternative, bottled water may be used. Affected residents will need to continue boiling water for consumption until a rescission of the Boil Water Notice is issued when the advisory has been lifted.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our customers while this important work is completed and apologize for any inconvenience. North Port Utilities is committed to providing the best service possible and will make every effort to minimize the duration of this water outage.
Please contact Utilities at 941-240-8000 with any questions.
Reminder, there will be a water service interruption for the Biscayne Gardens area tomorrow and a precautionary boil water notice will be in effect for that area. For more details, visit https://t.co/qj06anqnXq pic.twitter.com/N6grp7zZqf
