City of Venice Communication Officer Loraine Anderson slams The Scoop as fake news and a deliverer of information that should be vetted
Look the last thing I put on here is fake news, which is why I am followed by all the local police departments, news agencies, and governments. Yes, even Loraine follows this page. If I was a purveyor of fake news, I would not have so many followers and such a high engagement rate of over 200,000 a week. Loraine Anderson’s unsolicited attack does not surprise me, since the City of Venice keeps getting exposed on a multitude of issues by me. Perhaps she does not like me because she use to work with the home town paper’s office in North Port. Perhaps she does not like The Scoop because people come to The Scoop for information on the city, versus the city social media sites that she manages. I just do not know.
The City of Venice or any other entity has ever been able to come back to me and prove any of my reports as fake, since that would be hard to do with me posting their actual emails and other factual documents. Shame on her and the city in their continued efforts to minimize The Scoop. It is almost as though they are working for the home town paper.
Another disturbing fact is that a city official is telling residents to disregard anything they see on my site and then they to not act on their concerns…………. Good grief Loraine, jealous much? Petty much? I think your actions will back fire and discredit your office and position, versus The Scoop News nor do I care.

Regarding the video, all I did was share a video interview and put it out there for individuals to decide. Unlike the government or people like Loraine, I don’t withhold information to further an agenda. Is there something to it, I do not know. Should there be an investigation, I don’t know. I am just a purveyor of information. 🙂 Also, I did not communicate any information. I did not state the video was factual. I did not lead people to believe that the content in the video was actionable. Actually I stated that within my culture a lot Italians are associated with this thing that people refer to as the mafia, yet not all Italians are mafiosa……………..

Hi Frankie my name is Jennifer I watched your video on the Arabic Muslims taking flying lessons at the Venice air School. I called City Hall to find out what I can do to have them investigate. I talked to Lori Anderson who called me back later in the day only to ask me if I had gotten my information from your Venice scoop radio show and I told her yes. At that point she informed me that I need to fully vet your videos. She was implying that everything in the video is was fake and it was not even filmed at any of the Venice flight schools . Then she proceeded to make me believe that everything was hunky-dory out there and my feeling is that she totally slammed your credibility and I didn’t appreciate it I told her I would be driving out personally to look at the building because she claimed that the video was not even the flight school in Venice and you couldn’t read any of the papers or signs the gentleman was holding up or any of the certificates that were in the window posted. I just left the flight school the certificates have been taken down but you can tell it’s the same window and I video taped and Arabic looking man walking out of the school as I was there. I just wanted to let you know that you’re work is not appreciated at City Hall and I think that is b*******
I am already passed along my complaint about this to Homeland Security I don’t know what else to do at this point to get to the bottom of this because something is definitely not right do you have any suggestions please let me know. City Hall seems to be no help.
