Email to The Scoop News - A MUNICIPAL BOND IS A FORM OF THE POWER OF TAXATION BY A GOVERNMENT
Due to my insolvent in fighting the aggressive growth of developers, cities, and the county; this individual has CC’d me on this email to the City of Venice. I was and still am very active in wanting to know specifics about the Public Safety bond referendum, such as the location and the city was not releasing the information.
Below is a video report that I put together after the Auburn Woods town hall yesterday and following that is the email chain from lesvilcone.

Mayor and Venice City Council,
As a resident of Auburn Woods Community, I would like to thank the Mayor and the other officials who attended our Auburn Woods Town Hall Meeting to explain to us why we were not informed of the address location for this new Police Command Center which would be out my back window along our property line..
At the meeting, the smoking gun in the room was and still is that the residents around the proposed site was blindsided by the City because of this fact,many citizens, including myself, voted in favor of this TAX without knowing where the location of this facility was intended . ( A MUNICIPAL BOND IS A FORM OF THE POWER OF TAXATION BY A GOVERNMENT )
This seems to me to be a form of TAXATION WITHOUT REPRESETATION. Our country was founded by our forefathers in part, because the colonists were being taxed by British Parliament without the opportunity of representation.
In regards to this Bond Tax, information regarding vital information was withheld from the taxpayers.
I now Vote NO for this bond proposal and NO for the proposed site selected by this City Council.
