Email To The Scoop News - Recognition of Richard Gill and his volunteerism
Ken
In sending this message in hopes that you will be interested in a story about a man who lives next door to me who goes above and beyond everyday to help clean up and beautify our neighborhood. He has been clearing the overgrowth and maintaining it now and has recently expanded the area he takes care of. Our neighbor hood is not in the best section of Nokomis, but there are many of us who truly care and try to do our best to keep are yards and homes well maintained. Richard is an inspiration, has clear enormous amounts of overgrowth, trees, vines, weeds, etc on Florence St starting from Albee Farm Rd intersection down to Portia St S intersection . He has also worked his way down Albee Farm Rd past Nokomis Groves. He walks and picks up the garbage dropped by walkers and drivers daily. He gets in touch with waste management so they send someone out to pick up the huge piles he makes of all the overgrowth. Currently there are 3 enormous ones on the side of the street waiting for pick up. I believe Richard Gill deserves recognition for all he does. He is an inspiring man who asks nothing in return for all he does. Please guide me with any suggestions you may have to recognize this man publicly for all he does. Thank you.
